General Summary and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Sr. Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Finance and plays a critical role supporting the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, utilizing vast sources of data to generate financial models and reports, and assisting with the presentation of business unit performance to senior management.  This individual will have a critical role in the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and will be instrumental as we continue to build automated analytical tools (MS Excel & Power BI) that drive improved performance and growth.  Key Responsibilities to include:

• Support the monthly forecasting/SIOP and annual planning process with a focus on identifying risks and opportunities while aligning resources with strategic priorities.
• Data driven analysis of financial results focused on comparisons to trends and benchmarks to support decision making and assessment of financial outcomes.
• Customer/product profitability analysis, including pricing, spread, and mix management and recommendations.
• Analyze business opportunities and investments with a strong orientation to long-term enterprise value creation.
• Focus on process optimization, including automation and standardization of weekly and monthly processes and reporting to ensure consistent messaging across deliverables, utilizing Microsoft Excel, SQL and Power BI.
• Support M&A modeling and analysis to understand and project potential long-term value creation of various deals.
• Assist Finance Leadership and Executive Leadership Team in developing longer-range strategic business models and visualizations.
• Various responsibilities related to monthly close, journal entries, accrual calculations, and related documentation.
• Provide other Ad-hoc financial analysis support.

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline required, MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; manufacturing experience is preferred and plastics experience is a plus.
• Strong data modeling skills are required with the ability to navigate and synthesize large data sets to create meaningful insights and information.
• Ability to create budgets, forecasts, and projections while prioritize based on goals and objectives.
• Strong communication skills and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders of all levels.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit, cooperative attitude, and ability to work across multiple departments and levels within an organization.
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and addressing urgent situations.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with SQL or Python experience preferred.
• Experience using financial systems, including skill with large-scale ERPs (preferably SAP).
