Your daily responsibilities include

SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst assists in consolidation and analysis of property reports and internal management reporting packages, forecasts, and budgets for corporate review. This role also is responsible for performing financial modeling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Forecasting and Reporting

  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of Oracle as it relates to budget and forecast reporting. Maintenance includes but not limited to editing reports for acquisitions and adjusting statistical forms as needed for changes in report requirements.

  • Integrates company acquisitions and developments into entire existing financial reporting process.

  • Prepares and distributes various monthly and quarterly management reports to executive management.

  • Participates in the migration of company budget and forecasting processes to Oracle.

Annual Budget Process

  • Participates in annual budget process, inclusive of market research, target setting and communication, and consolidation of property budget packages.

  • Assists in reviewing all budget submissions to ensure compliance with guidance, as well as analysis on overall results.

  • Develops models that allow operators to efficiently analyze metrics and compare a property's performance to similar operations in the company's portfolio to improve operations. Makes recommendations for imporvement.

Daily Operating Report

  • Responsible for managing the daily operating report rollup process. Makes improvements as needed.

  • Assists with process improvement and automation of tasks using new software tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field from accredited four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Financial modeling and reporting experience required. M&A and development experience preferred but not required.

  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Power Point). Advanced Excel macros proficiency preferred.

  • Having experience in Oracle and Tableau systems is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in prioritization or schedules of items in the work queue as necessary when communicated/directed.

  • Must have excellent organization skills and be detailed oriented.

  • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Must be able to meet deadlines, including projects that require a quick time frame.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The Travel and Expense / Company Card Program Analyst is responsible for the daily oversight and full-cycle support associated with colleague travel and expenses reimbursement. On a daily basis, this position will interact directly with internal and external stakeholders and service providers to ensure compliance with our T&E policy and procedures. This position will work closely with the Accounts Payable Senior Analyst and Manager to drive efficiency and cost savings through analytics, reporting, auditing and training. T&E Analyst will assist in keeping all department functions and processes in line with standard accounting practices and internal controls. They will also work closely with other departments such as procurement, accounting to investigate reimbursement information and assist in resolving disputes. The majority of T&E Analyst's time is spent analyzing executive dashboards, creating and analyzing reports and spend trends, expense reports and payment processing information, as well as working with stakeholders to resolve card, reports or reimbursement issues. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * Commercial Payments/Corporate Credit Card Administration include but are not limited to: * Ordering corporate credit cards and disbursing them to colleagues * Deactivating corporate credit cards for terminated colleagues * Monitoring credit card limits and issuing increases as needed * Creating and providing support and training of cloud based tool to colleagues * Collaborating with corporate Payroll and HR team for colleague policy compliance * Issue and complete vendor payments utilizing Single Use Account (SUA) / Cards * Processing weekly payment batch reports and month-end reconciliation process * Research and resolve all payment issues and card inquiries * T & E Policy Compliance and Processing * Continuous review and recommendation for policy and system updates * Process, send and research checks, recording transactions on internal systems * Analyze, prioritize, code and pay expense reports while managing colleague expectations * Prepare, enter and maintain accurate and timely filing of all expense reports * Concur, Expense and Travel Administration * Working daily in our web-based T&E Management tool (Concur), to audit and process expense reports, as well as assist users * Creating and providing ongoing support and training to assist all colleagues as needed * Ensure compliance to company policy by using audit tools, reports and coordination with TMC * Working with TMC to add value to the organization through best practices and compliance * Creating reports, providing analysis, sharing results and working toward user awareness and solutions for all areas of responsibility * Miscellaneous tasks and responsibilities (Provide general assistance to AP Department): * Monitor and address inquiries sent to the department mailboxes, voicemail and inbox * Perform timely account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing to balances * Provide support and training to fellow team members * Assist in ad hoc accounts payable functions and tasks as assigned by department head, to include but are not limited to mailing of checks, answering phone calls, addressing emails, invoice processing, filing etc. * Support geographically dispersed groups of colleagues, executive members etc * Possess superior organizational and communication skills * Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision * Identify problems or potential problems and develop solutions with limited assistance What do you need? * High School Diploma or GED - required * Bachelor's Degree - Finance or Accounting - requried * Four (4)+ of Industry experience * Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite of program with emphasis on fluency in Excel Database * Fluency in Spanish or French - preferred * This job operates in a professional office environment.
