Job Summary

As a critical member of the Finance team, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis of nLIGHT's growing business. We are seeking a flexible and hands-on professional who will partner with management to continuously improve business decisions and results as well as improve the quality of data on which decisions are made. We are seeking an individual with very high personal and professional values and a desire to learn and grow with the company.

  • Financial Planning and Reporting Analyze financial performance, prepare insightful management reporting packages and review with management. Forecast revenue, margin, headcount, and expenses for quarterly forecasts and annual plan.

  • Financial Analysis Prepare analysis for business decisions and investment opportunities such as new product development, capital projects and customer opportunities. Contribute ideas that improve profitability for the company. Analyze trends and performance against plan or forecast.

  • Business Partnering Interact regularly with senior management to help them drive change. Improve decision making with timely, targeted analysis. Learn about the business and respond to requests, asking the right questions to determine the right information to provide. Communicate at the right level of detail for the audience, with the ability to drill down as needed.

  • Leadership This position will require strong leadership and influence skills.

  • Process Improvement and Systems - Develop, implement, and improve financial processes. Participate in or lead systems projects as needed.


  • MBA preferred with focus on finance.

  • 5+ years' experience, ideally in high tech or semiconductor manufacturing

  • Creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills and curiosity

  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must enjoy challenges, finding solutions, and driving improvements

  • Ability to organize and manage to completion multiple high-priority projects simultaneously and on time

  • MS Excel power-user. Comfortable using and creating databases

  • Experience utilizing various ERP systems (MS Dynamics AX particularly helpful)

  • To meet security and export control regulations, this position requires either U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Alien Status.

VIEW JOBS 4/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-09T00:00 As a member of the Information Technology team, the Sr. Desktop Support Analyst will primarily administer SCCM to build, update, and deploy to a multinational distribution of workstations. As a secondary role, they will provide backup to Desktop Support Tier 1 & 2 along with root cause analysis, Knowledge article creation, and site support. A successful candidate for this position must be well-organized and demonstrate a strong capacity for following up to ensure the completion of tasks. They must have already shown a strong aptitude for written and verbal communication including the ability to interact with staff at all levels, and possess excellent customer service skills. Essential Functions * Administer SCCM including imaging, workstation updates, endpoint protection, applications creation, deployments * Monitor workstations for compliance to company governance and policy * Build new desktops, laptops and tablets, including installing and updating Windows operating systems and other application software, or make modifications to existing equipment as required * Document and administer Knowledge Articles for business facing and Helpdesk users * Administer equipment in an Asset Management system * Administer user and computer accounts in an active directory domain * Administer and maintain company conference rooms * Administration of printers and secure print application * Perform tasks as an individual contributor and as part of a project team * Work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high quality of service * Monday - Friday, 8-5, periodic on-call. * Other duties as assigned by Management Job Requirements * Extensive knowledge of workstation imaging, updates, endpoint protection, application creation, deployments * Ability to script for workstation management, general tasks, and automation of manual tasks * Knowledge of PC hardware/peripherals, Microsoft Office 365, Windows desktop operating systems, and networking fundamentals * Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues, via phone, remote tools, and on location * Windows administration experience, including but not limited to modifying file/folder permissions, active directory accounts, Windows 7 and 10 troubleshooting, transferring user profiles, and a basic knowledge of the tools within computer management * Must be able to take direction, manage priorities, collaborate with other team members, and perform tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail * Familiarity with MS Office 365 products, including Skype, Outlook and Sharepoint. * Flexibility in a dynamically changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary * Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times, along with the ability to properly handle sensitive materials concerning the organization * Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
