This position will provide strategic analysis and business support to the $1.5B Commercial sales function. This role partners closely with the VP, Commercial Sales and their leadership team by understanding the business, its customers, and its people to drive results and strategic priorities. This role will also partner with other areas of the business to ensure that strategic pricing programs and marketing efforts are delivering expected results. It is imperative for this role to partner closely with other Sales Functions and their Finance support to better understand common work streams, identify synergies, and drive innovation and productivity.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and continually improve analytical capabilities, ability to work through complex business issues, and provide actionable reporting in order to meet financial and strategic commitments.
Utilize continuous improvement principals to help improve business results and drive productivity gains throughout the department. Understand the cost to serve as a lower cost operating model and the impacts to the customer.
Work cross functionally to build strategic business relationships that will provide increased insight into integration, which includes challenging assumptions to get the best return for the organization.
Develop and support metrics and reporting that drive business decisions and ensure attainment of agreed upon plans.
Provide recommendations for improvement when results are sub-optimal.
Lead strategic financial planning, corporate planning and forecasting processes, ROI analyses, and monthly business reviews.
Partner closely with multiple FP&A teams so all upstream/downstream impacts of the multiple work streams mentioned earlier are clearly understood financially.
Preferred Education & Experience
Strong competency in relevant financial analysis and modeling.
Focus on innovation and driving productivity in a fast paced organization.
Broad business knowledge and organizational awareness as well as an understanding of business profitability drivers.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface effectively with management, specifically Director and VP levels.
Should be comfortable operating within a dynamic and complex organizational structure, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and be effective in a team-oriented environment.
Technologically savvy in order to drive effective means of processing and reporting critical business information. Some experience with SQL or Tableau is a plus.
Strong/Proven leadership skills with situational awareness and EQ.
Strong work ethic.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to interface at very senior levels of the organization. Strong work ethic and results orientation required for fast paced, customer focused environment.
