The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance Team, providing foundational business partnering for both periodic and annual project budgeting/forecasting. The position will develop data-driven reporting and analysis for the business largely emphasizing and ultimately benefiting key business drivers and metrics. Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

Develop and maintain financial models for financial planning purposes in accordance with annual targets set by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Support departmental leaders through a bottoms-up process to prepare cost center and strategic project budgets, to address resource requirements of divisional and cross-functional periodic and annual operating plans. Drive periodic and annual budget development and supportive analytics and prepare financial reporting as needed, at the direction of the CFO, to support Board approval of annual planning. Be comfortable as a thought leader throughout, offering experienced judgment and perspective, innovative ways of looking forward financially using data, leveraged cross-organizational knowledge as well as available market insight.

Identify trends and patterns in financial and operational data. Perform financial modeling and formulate critical pro-forma financial statements specific to growth prospects and capital investment ideas. Partner with related owners to understand the story of the vision they have to heighten the aligned value of financial preparations.

Prepare articulate commentary and documentation for use by the decision makers in critical support of financially material business decisions. Prepare ad hoc reporting requests as directed and provide analysis of data for management use and presentation. Judgment, natural curiosity, and an internal drive to use data to produce business recommendations would underlie the ad hoc value the ideal candidate generates.

Qualifications: Education – Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or CFM or an advanced degree (i.e. MSBA, MBA) preferred.

Competencies/Skills – Progressively responsible experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, variance, and trend analyses, as well as financial management reporting. Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to handle large volumes of data, understand process flow, gather information, analyze, problem solve, link financial results to operational performance drivers. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic, integrity, accountability and reliability are inherent to the ideal candidate’s character. Ability to foster positive and professional relationships both within the Finance and Accounting Team as well as Companywide at all levels of the organization Excellent interpersonal skills Data modeling experience; must have advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot/data tables, lookups, functions/formulas, visual data representation, etc.) Strong Power Point presentation skills Experience – Minimum 4-6 years of financial planning, data analytics and/or accounting work experience Clear understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow and the interaction of the three statements, related analysis and reporting required Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, Python/R, Alteryx or like analytical tools for advanced data analysis preferred Experience using Netsuite & Netsuite Planning & Budgeting or a similar ERP environment preferred Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred with laboratory diagnostics industry experience ideal but not required
