The Sr. Financial Analyst will have responsibility for business planning, modeling and analysis within our US & Canada region. The successful candidate will be someone who is intellectually driven, hardworking, organized and detail-oriented, but also has the ability to look at the big picture. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and deal with concepts and complexity comfortably. This individual knows how the business works and is aware of how strategies and tactics within the marketplace work; uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions. This role will have significant exposure to senior level management.

Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor in the preparation and the presentation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the US & Canada region

  • Involvement in long range strategic planning process

  • Provide financial planning & analysis support to the supply chain function, working specifically on forecasting demand, inventory management analysis and product profitability

  • Provide financial planning & analysis support to the remaining US & Canada region functions, helping each function track and report spending, as well as providing cost saving analysis as needed

  • Preparation of monthly management presentations and communications to the US & Canada region leadership team and Libbey's executive leadership team

  • Develop financial models for scenario analysis including various financial metrics such as return on invested capital, etc.

  • Develop ad hoc analysis, KPIs, financial standards for management reporting and other corporate financial planning & analysis responsibilities as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

  • CPA, CMA, MBA and/or advanced degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance

  • 2-4 years prior financial planning & analysis experience preferred

  • Manufacturing industry background preferred

  • Strong organizational, problem solving/analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to build effective relationships across business and functions in a matrix organization

  • Proven financial skills in planning, forecasting, and analysis; understand complex financial transactions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels management

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (including advanced knowledge of Excel), and the use of information systems

  • Perform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasks

  • Self-motivated with a desire to follow up on and take ownership of all outstanding issues on a timely basis

  • Commitment to strict deadlines
