How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Senior Financial Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will assist with the development of SPX's HVAC Segment quarterly financial forecast and annual budgeting processes and play a key role in driving financial initiatives across the Segment. The role will assist in providing data-driven and strategic support to Segment management and act as the analytical engine of the company by delivering insights and supporting 'optimal' business decision-making through forecasting, financial modeling, and analytics.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

• Financial and Accounting Support

• Conduct thorough analyses of financial data, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budgets.

• Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams across the Segment to monitor and analyse forecasts.

• Support Segment Management by providing financial insights and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.

• Standard Reporting and Documentation

• Provide data and analytical support for the Segments quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports to be used for predictive modelling and identify drivers of business results.

• Track the performance of business units and identify key trends.

• Support capital expenditure approval process.

• Assist with developing presentations to communicate the Segments results and forecasts to corporate management and other key stakeholders.

• Ownership of Segment level SOX controls as needed

• Continuous Improvement

• Drive, develop, and improve standard processes and procedures by identifying trends, inefficiencies, and gaps in financial processes.

• Provide actionable recommendations to address challenges, streamline processes, increase productivity, and improve financial performance.

• Assist with the development, documentation, implementation, and continual improvement of financial policies and procedures.

• Take an active role in the broader Segment finance team, facilitating smooth implementation of - and adherence to - new finance requirements, systems, and processes.

• Participate in other projects (as assigned), that relate to the overall goals of the Segment and SPX enterprise

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

• 3+ years FP&A or Accounting experience within a publicly traded company and/or public accounting firm

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient financial modeling, analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid business acumen

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial data. Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills.

• Strong communication, with the ability to present financial information to a diverse audience in a clear and concise manner.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.

• Experience with OneStream, or other financial consolidation platforms.

• Exposure to major ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle

• Strong working knowledge of accounting and finance operations.

• Manufacturing company exposure/experience.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

• Up to 20% Travel
