  • The FP&A Sr. Financial Analyst ("Sr. Analyst") will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis Team and a key asset in the future growth of the company.

  • This individual will be a leader in the FP&A Department and will be spear-heading the Company's financial forecast, annual budgeting process, 5 year business plan, operating plan variance analysis and special projects.

  • The "Sr. Analyst" will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons and other projects requested by senior management.

  • This person must have a strong understanding of how to provide meaningful and actionable information utilizing several different types of data.

  • Information needs to be accurate and detailed in order to facilitate effective decision-making; integrate financial and operational plans, and link high-level strategic plans with the operational plans and capabilities.

  • The "Sr. Analyst" will be comfortable with cross-functional communication and sensitive to satisfying the needs of the team's internal and external customers.

  • This position is a member of a high profile team that is sought out to assist the Operations Teams in achieving excellence.


  • Bachelor's Degree required; CPA, MBA and Automotive or Aerospace experience is a plus.

  • Must have over four years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, financial statement preparation and analysis.

  • Strong analytical capabilities including advanced knowledge of Excel developing complex formulas (ex: arrays, match index, vlookup, sumifs, sumproduct, pivot tables, named ranges, powerpivot, etc.)

  • Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Suites (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote and Microsoft Outlook) and a working knowledge of ERP, Hyperion and OneStream.


  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills along with the ability to communicate results both verbally and in writing.

  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.

We also offer control systems for all-wheel drives and powerful transmissions for hybrid and electric vehicles to our global customers At our Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI, we are looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a : Senior Financial Analyst Our Position Summary This position is responsible for general ledger accounting for the Transmission Systems Propulsion Technical Center (PTC) reporting unit (RU) based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Sr. Financial Analyst must ensure accuracy and integrity of the financial books and records of the RU through management of accounting, financial reporting, internal control/compliance, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, risk management, and tax (if appropriate) functions. Our Key Accountabilities * Work closely with functional leads at the PTC and with finance and other personnel at the RU level as well as with Headquarters to implement proper cost center reporting. * Prepare journal entries and maintain appropriate support. * Accountable for timely and accurate month-end closing and forecasting for the RU including reconciling intercompany balances. * Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet reporting for monthly/quarterly reviews. * Maintain all account reconciliations for the PTC ledger. * Implement and continually monitor business controls to ensure BW policies and financial goals are met. * Communicate and schedule regular reviews of functional cost center performance vs. budget and assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions to ensure target achievement. * Provide regular analysis of R&D cost/revenue for PTC. * Assist in driving consistent financial practices and efficiencies. * Assist BU Controller in monthly reporting including Actuals and Forecast analysis and follow-up. * Assist in preparing PTC budget and long-range plan. * Participate in the PTC fixed assets control and inventory. * Assist PTC functions with capital project spending requests ensuring alignment with budget/forecast. * Complete year-end tax reporting requirements. * Work closely with HR department to ensure accurate monthly/annual headcount reporting. * Provide support to the reporting units as needed. * Special Assignments – Responsible for completion of special assignments as required.
