Job Description:

The Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) and Staff Support (SS) Central Reporting and Analytics team is part of the CFO organization. The primary focus of the team is financial reporting and ad hoc analysis in support of the GT&O and SS finance executives, representing over 50% of the banks roughly $50 billion expense base. Business partners include the BFO and Controller teams within the GT&O and SS areas, HR Finance, Cost Allocations and Corporate Planning. Key priorities include month-end reporting, GT&O central forecast development, executive presentations, financial data management and ad hoc financial analysis.

This role is responsible for the preparation and analysis of month-end reporting and forecast development. This includes coordinating management review of all business assumptions and drivers as well as the development of all financial models and analysis. The ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and coordinate the efforts of multiple business partners is critical to success. This role will also be responsible for supporting finance executives with the development of monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis.

VIEW JOBS 4/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-14T00:00 Position Summary: The primary role of the Senior Financial Reporting & Internal Control Analyst is to prepare accurate and timely internal and external financial statements, to lead and maintain proper internal control compliance and documentation, and to provide technical accounting guidance and support. Essential Functions: * Prepare quarterly financial reporting package, including GAAP financial statements, for distribution to internal and external stakeholders. Includes coordinating and compiling data from multiple internal sources to obtain information. * Coordinate and lead company-wide internal control process. Includes internal self-assessments and certifications, and partnering with the business to analyze, report and remediate any identified deficiencies. * Lead quarterly process and control reviews with business areas, identify control and process gaps and partner with business to improve effectiveness and efficiencies as needed. * Prepare summarized monthly balance sheet and cash flow statements, as well as research variances and provide summary to supervisor. * Coordinate a well-designed and monitored close process to help ensure timely and accurate reporting for both internal & external financial statements. * Includes: Oversight of monthly close calendar, leading month-end close Income Statement and Balance Sheet review & preparation of monthly/quarterly accounting controls such as Balance Sheet and Income Statement analytics. * Lead implementation of new External Reporting tool; including scoping and requirements, data governance and controls, and system administration. * Perform technical accounting research on issues and prepare accounting position papers to document appropriate accounting treatment. Educate and partner with cross-functional business leaders to ensure understanding and compliance. * Prepare materials for use at the quarterly executive meetings, including obtaining information from multiple sources, such as external auditors, legal, IT and tax. * Liaison to the external auditors and understand all items needed for their annual audit. Will serve as primary contact with the external audit team. * Includes: Planning and monitoring interim and year-end audit calendars, oversight of PBC items and coordination with business partners, and monthly audit status updates. * Record limited journal entries related to external reporting, as well as prepare quarterly account reconciliations/roll-forwards. * Interact regularly and collaboratively with business partners to ensure consistency and foster a unified team atmosphere.
