Sr Financial Analyst

Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst!

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with great problem-solving skills to join our Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst role will support the business by providing monthly/quarterly financial reporting, analyses, and forecasting of expenses, as well as some revenue stream forecasting. Ad hoc requests are common and interaction with multiple departments will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Expense forecasting & planning for cost centers under several functional areas

• Monthly research and variance reporting for actual expenses vs. forecast and plan

• Review of indirect expense allocations from other areas with goal of correcting errors

• Review and tracking of IT projects, resource usage, and expense allocations

• Providing client level reporting as needed

• Calculating and reviewing bonuses for the Channel Optimization & Sales teams

• Developing and tracking annual performance goals for various teams

• Allocating investment income across clients, working with Actuarial to ensure accuracy of modeling

• Forecasting revenues for specific clients and monitoring performance monthly vs. forecast

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields

• Four or more years of experience in financial planning and analysis

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Must be a self-starter able to work independently

• Willingness to go above and beyond to do the best possible job
