Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Manager to play a key role on our AWS Specialized Sales Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking team. Job responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the key finance partner supporting the Specialized Sales leaders for IoT, Edge, and Elemental businesses providing financial support and business insights

  • Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making

  • Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management

Have you had experience in past roles supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments? Are you a self-starter with strong data gathering and modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and prior experience working in a fast-paced environment? Are you looking for an exciting role that has regular interaction with various teams across AWS? Do you have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to collaborate with others? If so, the AWS Specialized Sales Finance team could be the right fit for you!

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 10 years of finance experience, OR master's degree and 8 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced modeling skills including advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent business judgment, including strong written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment

  • Comfort with ambiguity and creative problem-solving

  • Ability to lead teams in a cross-functional setting

  • Highly innovative and flexible; ability to work with autonomy

  • MBA or similar degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities: * Serve as the key finance partner working directly with Game Services and Cloud Entertainment senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations * Build out and enhance P&L and pricing models for new and existing services, develop business insights, and lead ad hoc analyses * Create, maintain and improve profitability and management reporting * Execute the financial planning / budgeting process * Manage the budget for infrastructure expenses and headcount for the business * Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change * Build and enhance financial models used to forecast and report the company's revenue and other key business metrics * Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to company leaders * Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business * Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support fast-growing services Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field and a minimum 5+ years of finance experience, OR master's degree and 3+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results. * Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment. * Exceptional financial modeling skills * Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner. * Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly. * Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills. * Experience with TM1/Cognos or similar tools. * SQL or similar experience * Required proficiency in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups).
