GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The primary responsibility f this position will be to support the financial analysis, planning, budgeting, and management reporting for the assigned business product line.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develop business cases in support of large financial transactions including full P&L's, breakeven, payback, NPV, IRR (or MIRR) and ROI calculations
2.Develop and update multi-year forecast models
3.Provide strategic and analytical support to help drive product line profitability and customer gross margins
4.Research and develop industry benchmark studies for reporting and analysis
5.Develop and maintain business unit internal budget
6.Develop and maintain key business unit metrics and drivers
7.Lead and/or participate in process improvement and system automation and reporting initiatives
8.Develop and conduct executive level presentations
9.Ad hoc analysis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1.5 - 10 years of experience in an analytical role
2.Strong background supporting Sales, Marketing or Operations
3.Experience developing complex models and business cases and ability to analyze and negotiate Cost/Margin Elements
4.Strong experience in process management
5.Strong Interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills
6.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with C-Level executives
7.Must have a Bachelors degree - Certification (CPA/CFA) or MBA a plus
8.Proficiency in all MS Office applications, including advanced Excel skills - experience using Oracle a plus
9.Strong analytical and business sense a must
10. Telecommunications industry/ in depth understanding of the Internet Infrastructure experience preferred
11. Fast thinking, has a professional presence and a pleasant, energetic personality
12. Ability to talk to Sales and Marketing and understands the anatomy of a solid sales deal
13. Knowledge of capital markets
14. History of increasing responsibility for managing projects and/or people

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-16T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE In this position, the Sr. Manager of Finance will lead the Online / Marketing Strategy team. This role provides critical support for the business, developing, prioritizing, implementing, and communicating the strategic agenda for both HD.com and Marketing. Examples of typical projects include: analyzing the need for a new brand, supporting the business plan development and execution of new areas of business, etc. In addition, the Sr. Manager is a "thought partner", working directly with the President of Online / CMO and their VPs to help set the strategy for the Marketing organization and HD.com as a whole. Collectively the team is responsible for developing HD.com and Marketing's overall strategy, helping to prioritize initiatives, working on business development opportunities and monitoring performance relative to competitors. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives. * Participates in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. * Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met. * Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. * Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. * Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Operations, and Information Systems. * Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. * Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies. * Predict Revenues and Expenditures and Report to Management. * Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations. * Drive key functional financial metrics. * Financial Reporting NATURE AND SCOPE * Typically reports to Director Finance * Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Preferred Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics * MBA is preferred * Prior consulting or similar experience * Experience in marketing and/or online retail Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: * Thorough working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal accounting controls * Knowledge of business and management. Principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation. * Ability to develop and implement strategies that support the objectives of the company * Ability to lead and develop subordinates * Able to effectively communicate with all departments and levels of associates through both verbal and written methods * Critical thinking skills; using logic to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, applying general rules to specific problems.
