Description: Leads and coordinates the financial resources and activities for several diabetes brands with the CVMD Therapeutic Area, managing the overall financial stewardship including financial reporting and compliance, financial forecasts, resource optimization and business investment opportunities. This role also leads and coordinates financial planning, reporting and business process activities across the CVMD TA.
Serves as the key interface for all financial management issues for several diabetes brands within the portfolio.
Provide strategic focus and input to the TA Executive Director and other leadership team members on all key business decisions including; strategic direction, business development, resource optimization and management, and investments cases, with focus on profit optimization.
Responsible for ensuring sales and expense forecasts and phasing are achievable and supported by valid assumptions and sensitivities required to communicate potential variability to leadership.
Accountable for the forecasting, monitoring, and accounting of all Gross to Product Sales adjustments and coordinating with team members who have responsibility for managed markets contracts and affordability programs.
Works closely with Head of Finance for the TA and key members of the TA leadership team to coordinate the various business planning cycles and strategic initiatives that have broad impact across the portfolio.
Accountable for monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processes and associated reporting for supported brands and across the CVMD portfolio.
Presents and communicates to leadership the brand forecasts, performance, and potential risks/opportunities of financial submissions.
Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and sound financial principles.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent PC skills and experience including Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical ability and demonstrated strategic influencing skills
High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
Demonstrated capability to meet strict deadlines with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including oral and written
Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork
Confidence in working with Senior Management
Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
MBA in Finance and/or CPA
Brand knowledge and experience
Demonstrated strong upward career trajectory, with drive, ambition, and demonstrated sound judgment.
