Job Description Job Description Responsible for directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling an accounting system that properly reflects the Credit Union’s financial position. Monitors Department policies and procedures and recommends improvements.
Functions as a member of the Management Team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives of the Credit Union, and serves as a resource in all aspects of accounting. Oversees budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, risk management, asset and liability management, capital expenditures, and the investment of Credit Union assets. Ensures the accurate internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions to state and federal regulatory agencies.
Ensures that accounting activities comply with established legal, regulatory, and Credit Union procedures. assigns, directs, and appraises accounting/finance staff.
