Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance Manager to be key member in our AWS Sales and Marketing Finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will work side by side with sales and finance leaders to develop business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key business partner for WWRO business leaders on strategic initiatives, leading business modeling and financial analysis

  • Collaborate with global organizations across AWS to formulate strategic direction

  • Map execution plans including ownership, resourcing requirements, key milestones, and timelines

  • Develop new performance metrics and rhythm of the business processes to drive accountability

  • Facilitate financial review meetings with senior leaders and work with business managers to drive effective execution

  • Implement necessary governance structure to ensure contollership

  • Build and maintain in depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges, and opportunities

The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a finance leader with long term vision, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has close interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.

  • 12+ years' of finance experience or a related analytical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • BA/BS degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field

  • An MBA or MS in Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload

  • Proven skills to earn trust from business partnership and drive cross-organization changes.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and presentation of alternatives

  • Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive employee career development

We're looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to be the architect driving the strategy and direction for services, making it simpler for our field team to manage, maintain and operate at scale - we should provide products and solutions that help give our talented selling and marketing teams "superpowers" that let them focus on the customer and helping them drive their business. As a Sr. Software Development Engineer in the WWRO team, you'll have a unique opportunity to shape the development of our services and positively affect our customers through our talented field team. You'll be chartered with creating and operating services that collect and store metrics at internet scale, deliver critical capabilities to the field and embed operational knowledge and encode best practices into everything we do. In addition, as part of the broader AWS organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the broader cloud strategy for Amazon. In your first few months with WWRO you'll: * Be the architect of an internet scalable, flexible, and integrated set of solutions for our selling team. This includes both first-party and third-party solutions. * Lead an effort to simplify creation and management of application stacks across several domains including telemetry, analytics, planning, and performance management. * Lead the development of tools to accelerate contracting, speed planning cycles and operations, correlate metrics and set meaningful targets. * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field * 7+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience required * Experience leading the delivery of large-scale systems focused on managing the infrastructure layer of the technology stack * Technical expertise in at least one major technical area: large scale Unix systems engineering, building complex distributed systems, building monitoring or management tools for large-scale environments * Project management experience * Experience leading development life cycle process and best practices * Experience with Agile Management (SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO Modeling, working on internet, UNIX, Middleware, and database related projects * Experience mentoring/training the engineering community on complex technical issues * Passion for customer experience and usability, including successful delivery of customer self-service tools and automated management/optimization of services, and a strong services orientation * Master's degree or higher preferred * 10+ years of relevant experience * Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role * Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
