Position Responsibilities

The Sr. Financial Analyst position will report to the Director, Finance. The candidate will play an important role in enhancing the level of financial support provided to the corporate FP&A team. Core responsibilities will include: actively managing the Management P&L consolidation; prepare monthly forecasts, analyze results and provide detailed variance analysis; develop corporate scorecards, dashboards and KPI metrics; collaborate with FP&A, Accounting Operations, G/L Accounting and International Accounting colleagues; identifying risks and opportunities and exhibiting leadership qualities in decision making.

  • Provide support for annual plan, monthly forecasts and performance reporting.

  • Quickly develop an understanding of Deltek objectives to effectively play a key role as a business partner.

  • Support monthly results analysis and reporting - provide detailed explanations for variances, and research open items .

  • Develop reporting, analyze, and present findings on business operations, working cross-functionally to gather data and automate reporting where possible.

  • Help identify cost saving and profit maximizing opportunities to improve current processes, and provide more meaningful information to key decision makers.

  • Prepare dashboards, KPI's and insightful presentations for senior management to concisely summarize performance targets and progress toward initiatives.

  • Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed


  • Finance, accounting, or related degree preferred

  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis

  • Demonstrated analytical and systems skills, and self-driven desire to investigate variance issues

  • Self-starter capable of managing competing deadlines and requests

  • Experience with corporate computerized budgeting/accounting systems and multi-dimensional database management tools

  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities & assignments as they are identified

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation

Key Responsibilities: * Act as agent of the government with sensitive employee and government information * Coordinate security administration, such as physical security (alarm response), personnel security, COMSEC, document control, information systems and analysis of counterintelligence (CI) trend and Insider Threat indicators * Manage the industrial security program at the site level, participate on various functional project teams and interact with site leadership councils * Investigate and report compliance security violations and compromises, manage various government security reviews, conduct and document government required self-assessments * Facility security matters such as ensuring property protection and visitor management * Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Security, Trend Analysis & USG Partnerships * Inquiries or BCIRs (Business conduct incident reports) * Security Education & Security Assessments * Supply Chain risk management & Property Protection * FSO, CPSO or ISSM is a required regulatory role at all Cleared Defense Contracting locations YOU MUST HAVE: * Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in industrial security * Minimum 2+ years' of directly related experience * Must be a US Citizen with current Top Secret//SCI security clearance WE VALUE: * Some experience in industrial security or CI analytical experience * NISPOM/SAP/ICD programs or CI detection program experience * Working with all DSS Applications * Proficient written & verbal communication skills * Experience in working in a dynamic team environment * Exhibit organizational/task prioritization skills * Computer proficiency w/Windows and Office Products * Knowledge of Research, Development and Acquisition (RDA) Additional Information * Category: Business Services * Location: 2214 Rock Hill Road Suite 350, Herndon, VA 20170 USA * Exempt * Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
