Provide global financial support for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Information Technology organization, including direct support of the SVP CIO and IT leadership team.
Serve as key member of IT senior leadership team, providing financial oversight and leadership for the business
Work cross-functionally with division IT and finance organizations, IT shared services, sourcing and business stakeholders to plan, forecast and report on projects, operating costs and capital expenditures
Develop and utilize proactive, early indicator reporting metrics to communicate financial risk or opportunities to senior management, and recommend and implement corrective actions
Provide decision support to CIO and senior IT leaders through insights, analysis and actionable ad-hoc reports as needed
Ensure proper processes are in place to review, approve and track project costs and benefits
Lead the IT review and approval process of key business initiatives by senior leaders, including creating/ensuring proper business cases, ROI, NPV etc.
Partner with key stakeholders to drive improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity of reporting
Effectively lead and manage the IT finance team in coordination, completion and review of month end close process and post-close reporting cycles
Prepare and present quarterly financial results/forecasts to CEO and Company Leadership Team
Drive completion and execution of the annual operating plan; lead development of financial modeling and inputs into strategic plan

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CMA/CPA/CFA preferred
10+ years of direct experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting leadership within a large, multinational matrixed organization
Proficiency in the following areas: financial analysis and reporting, forecasting and internal control
Strong business acumen and ability to drive process implementation in a matrix environment
Demonstrated success driving streamlined budget planning, strategic planning, and performance reporting processes
Ability to make assumptions, identify trends and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines
Willingness to dive into details to find answers and solve problems when needed
Ability to identify and champion productivity improvements through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to influence and engage senior executives, executive business partners, peers, and direct/indirect reports
Proven history of leading cross functional teams and building organizational relationships
Demonstrated success attracting, recruiting, developing and retaining high-potential talent
Experience with Hyperion, COGNOS and SAP preferred
