Sr. Finance Analyst - External Reporting - 15-Month Contract

 The Opportunity:

As a member of the corporate financial reporting team the senior analyst will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting. The individual will be responsible for various aspects of the month end close and consolidation process, assistance with the quarterly and annual financial statements as well as preparing legal entity financial statements for use by the tax department. This position will also support the reporting team in responding to various accounting enquiries from operating units and other projects as required.Any MLF team member interested in being considered for this role are encouraged to apply online by June 14, 2024. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:

This position will be responsible for the preparation of monthly consolidated reporting - including preparing and posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, running the consolidation in BPC, producing the monthly consolidated management control report, and answering various questions from other groups within the organization. This position will also assist in the  preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidated financial statements, various financial statement notes. This position will be responsible for the preparation of annual legal entity financial statements. In addition to quarterly and monthly reporting, the position will provide support to the overall reporting group in drafting accounting policies, assisting operating units with various issues, and other tasks and projects as required. 

• Assistance with preparing quarterly financial statements 40%

What You’ll Bring:

• 3-5 years of working experience in Accounting &Finance
• Experience with public company reporting
• A strong knowledge of IFRS
• Attention to detail
• Strong Communication skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• University degree Finance/Accounting
• CPA, CA designation
