Sr Field Service Technician- FIRE ALARM TECH - 5k Sign on Bonus
MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Sr Fire Alarm Field Service Tech for our Service team, you will be tasked with the supervision of installation of systems that will include, fire alarm, security, and access controls in a commercial, educational, construction and or retrofit environment. You will be expected to perform testing and start-up support functions across a wide range of electronic Fire Alarm / Security / Access / CCTV systems, which will include proprietary software packages. Strong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position. Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers, Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifier fire alarm system and other technologies for building fire alarm security solutions would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including testing and verifying system operations per preventative maintenance schedules
Complete documentation of all work done
Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
Maintain customer system documentation
Be responsible for Honeywell's assets such as tools, software, and site database
Respond to emergency service calls as required
Keep abreast of new developments in product and preventative maintenance techniques
Stay current in knowledge of Local, State and National codes
Performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required
YOU MUST HAVE
3-5 years of in-depth knowledge of Fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships
Fire alarm systems experience with demonstrated knowledge code requirements, testing requirements and coordinating, communicating with AHJ's
Competent in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good
Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel both locally to customer sites and overnight up to 25% as workload demands
Valid driver's license and safe driving record ability to pass background check

Minimum NICET certification level 1 or higher
Nevada State Fire Marshal Certificate of Registration (F-Card)
Notifier and /or EST - 3 experience
ACAD or comparable drafting experience
1 years related fire alarm systems, security system and access systems experience required.
Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field or 4 years of experience in a technical role in this industry
Building Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.). Understanding of typical communication topologies is important a plus Knowledge of Fire alarms, smoke control and security systems a plus
