BAE Systems has a job opening for a Senior Field Service technician at Hill AFB, Utah. Provide desktop/laptop and some server, IT support for customer; some of the job requirements as listed:Supports computer users with installation of hardware/software and networking components to meet personal computer needs Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with individual or multiple computer systems in order to maintain proper functioning; resolves issues including contacting and assisting vendors

Researches, analyzes, and provides hardware/software recommendations, ordering information, and other purchasing information to users to assist in purchasing necessary equipment Diagnoses and resolves complex end-user hardware/software problems including network, desktop, printer, remote access software, VoIP, mobile devices, MS Office, MS OS (Win XP, Vista, Win 7, WIN 10) etc... Performs new computer configuration and coordinates the workstation upgrade/replacement process Participates in the deployment of new software platforms Track user requests for equipment, for information, and problem reporting by opening cases and keeping case histories current and complete Verify with the customer that the problem has been resolved and close case

Must have active Secret/DoD clearance

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 Description:The successful candidate will support the sustainment, maintenance, and operation of F-35 training devices at Hill AFB. Install components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities. Perform, conduct, and document preventive maintenance checks required for the devices and associated subsystems. Update maintenance data collection records and assist with the installation and check-out of modifications to equipment. Maintain simulation devices to meet availability specifications. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or simulator documents. Assist with installations, testing, and maintenance of F-35 software packages. Isolate and report malfunctions and discrepancies to the lowest definable levels. Documents and maintain cabling schemes and drawings. Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives. The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with JSF program and customer procedures. Sanitize all classified media (circuit cards, disk storage devices, etc.) to the LRU in accordance with established JSF and customer procedures. The successful candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required. Basic Qualifications: Current security clearance investigation within 6 years from the investigation close date. Candidates must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access. In addition to the following: Security+ Certification (current, or successful completion of certification exam must be obtained within 6 months of employment). 3-5 years' experience maintaining and troubleshooting Training and Simulation equipment. Knowledge and experience with simulation hardware and software. Ability to read and use technical schematics, drawings and manuals along with other technical materials to resolve complex problems. Strong oral/written communication skills. Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule. Position may require candidate to participate in deployed operations to support customer requirements. Desired Skills: Bachelor's degree. 3 years' experience with aviation simulation systems. Proven hardware and software support experience in a training/modeling and simulation environment. Network troubleshooting and maintenance experience. Experience working in classified/access controlled facilities. Ability to brief/teach technical information to internal and external audiences. Ability to lead and mentor other team members.
