This position maintains and updates all documentation and drawings for the entire Bothell facility. In addition, this position controls the design for drafting, document control, and supports the CADD drawings management system.
Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings, schematics, and maps:
Architectural: collect construction site reports, analyze building codes, and make weight, volume, and stress calculations for the materials to be used. May also lay out interiors, draw landscaping, and represent the architect at the construction site.
Civil: incorporate data from topographical surveys and geophysical reports to prepare their drawings. May also make calculations for excavation and earth-moving operations and supervise technicians.
Mechanical: design the relationships between various mechanical parts and systems. Create and incorporate mathematical formulas to create component specifications and reproduce their schematics for use within reference materials, such as operations manuals.
Electrical/Control: design the technical schematics for transmission and distribution lines that deliver electricity to an equipment or system.
Draft moderate-to-complex 2D and 3D drawings, charts, schedules, etc.
Design and detail new components from previous designs based on engineering instructions, government and regulatory codes and AGC's standards.
Develop designs of limited scope and complexity requiring theoretical and practical design knowledge in a specialized field.
