Job Summary

The Sr. Facilities Project Engineer will support our clients by meeting client manufacturing objectives for reliability, quality, safety and cost. Areas of engineering responsibility may include: bulk chemicals, bulk gas(s), life safety systems, ultra-pure water, mechanical, I&C and electrical.


  • Review and approve engineering designs for manufacturing systems

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects

  • Review cost estimates and budgets

  • Work on multiple projects

  • Current building code knowledge

  • Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

  • Lead project team(s) as required

  • Application of engineering skills and tools

  • Safety


  • 12 + years' engineering experience with any of the following areas:

Chemical engineering, pumps, valves, flow calculations

Mechanical facilities engineering, HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers and compressor systems

Electrical engineering drawings & calculations, low and medium voltage power, load flow analysis

Instrumentation devices for measurement of temperature, pressure, flow , humidity using GE, Siemens and Rockwell hardware and software.

Facilities water systems or waste systems including chemical piping, neutralization, filtration, pumps, valves, flow calculations, testing.

Facilities bulk chemical and or gas delivery systems.

  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.

  • Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.

  • Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction)

  • Familiar with facilities document control systems

  • Experience with as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings

  • Experience with project close out: reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals and submittals

  • Experience with CAD support on projects

  • Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or similar degree preferred

  • Associate's degree in a related area or equivalent experience


  • Professional Engineer or EIT certification desired


  • English

Position Overview: The Senior FPGA Design Engineer will lead a global team of engineers in Phoenix and India, on electronic control units for aerospace applications to complete CPLD and FPGA designs, simulations, synthesis, floor-planning and lab integration. The role will support the entire design life cycle from project planning efforts to entry into service and production transition support. Requirements definition using DOORS, detailed design, validation of requirements and verification of implementation. Also includes managing Problem reports for hardware that has already been delivered. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills and works well in a team environment. Primary Responsibilities: Lead a team of FPGA designers to ensure efficient work, status, problem resolution and customer satisfaction Provide training as required to ensure compliance with DO-254 and other industry standards and certification standards Follow DO-254 Level A program planning documentation, and ensure CPLD/FPGA design team adheres to the plans. Capture and document the customer flowed down functional requirements, and develop and document the derived requirements for FPGAs. Design FPGA architectural diagrams, develop VHDL to implement the design critical functionality. Develop sub-functions and test benches. Perform engineering timing simulations and functional analysis. Interface with the V&V team and Quality Engineers to support the creation of the DO-254. Support project planning efforts and ensure execution to schedule and budget. Creation and review of engineering documentation Other tasks as assigned Education / Certifications: BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Equivalent with 4 to 6+ years of industry experience.
