Position Summary:

The Sr. Facilities Manager assists and reports to Facilities & Real Estate VP and consistently engages with all members of Facilities & Real Estate Department team. The key objective is to oversee and manage the physical operations of facilities to ensure they follow OSHA standards and maintain a clean, safe environment for all employees.

Will provide day to day direction to facilities manager(s) and staff, facilitating cost effective, efficient, flexible, safe and sustainable solutions to perform their required functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and forecast requirements to execute facilities projects and engage appropriate resources to accomplish goals.

Manage projects related to space planning, construction build-outs, reconfiguration and/or installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment in new and existing spaces. Oversee entire vendor life cycle from on-boarding, submitting for budget, purchase order requests and project management ensuring service levels are met for invoice approvals while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Manage exempt and/or non-exempt staff, developing and administering goals and objectives for each employee throughout the year, providing leadership, guidance corrective or coaching action where necessary to ensure success in their required functions.

Consistently communicate with and keep manager apprised of all projects on a weekly basis and otherwise as needed. Utilize awareness and working knowledge to trouble shoot and assess issues related to mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems, calling on appropriate resources and vendors to mitigate any impact to business operations. Develop budgets, identifying and implementing cost saving solutions.

Strong well-developed team working skills are essential with an ability to effectively motivate individuals in changing and challenging situations. Excellent communications skill with an ability to communicate with staff, colleagues and Managers at all levels to inform relevant stakeholders of project progress and changes.

Bachelor's Degree in Facility Planning, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred or equivalent combined education and years of experience required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property/facility management and building security required. Minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience or comparable combination of education, training and experience required.

OSHA, IFMA Certifications preferred. Must be proficient in use of Internet, internal electronic mail systems, Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point and Access. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks and exhibit sound judgment and decision-making.

This position will design buildings that are functional, safe, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing for a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial project types and clients. * Produce a full range of architectural drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity. * Develop project specific design and program requirements. * Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. * Conduct code analysis of designs. * Complete assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and refining rough sketches. * Create schematic architectural designs and present designs to internal staff and clients. * Interpret and apply design codes and specifications related to architectural design requirements. * Review design drawings to ensure they are within scope, budget and schedule. * Assist with managing schedules, budgets and project criteria into architectural design and layouts. * Review and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner. * All other duties as assigned. * Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field and four years related experience or associate's degree and six years related experience or seven years progressive detailing and design experience. * Strong understanding of design software such as: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables. * Strong knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. * Strong knowledge in design, calculations and design systems. * Strong knowledge in the theory and practices of architecture discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks. * Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives. * Excellent written & verbal communication skills. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
