The Senior Facilities Engineer
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Lead the long-term Smart Building Data Analytics platform strategy which includes site infrastructure development, identifying the roadmap for deployment as well as future technology/software· Drive Smart Building Data Analytics platform utilization among site facility teams as well as the Global Facilities Team. Includes individual utilization through task execution and project development.
Provide training to Maintenance/Facility Staff on the Enterprise Smart Building platform
Manage facilities projects driven by the Smart Building platform and others as needed to meet global team needs.
Contributes to and/or leads other projects aimed at energy efficiency and/or Mech/Elec/Plumbing upgrades
Performs/coordinates energy analysis of facility systems/infrastructure and applies that analysis to optimize new and existing systems
Review/mark-up engineering drawings, specifications, and equipment/system designs
Create commissioning documentation, edit/approve vendor documentation and execution as needed
Manage financial aspects of BAS projects/initiatives including drafting and submitting RFP/bid documents, creating/tracking purchase orders, capital expenditure requests
Independently sets objectives aimed at completing assigned tasks/projects
Lead/manage contractors performing installation and programming on any/all BAS components
Adhere to operational policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Perform additional duties as requested
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Excellent mechanical system knowledge (BAS/BMS, HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems)
Experience with the MS Office software suite
4+ years experience with operation/maintenance/design of BAS, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
Experience with Smart Building and/or Facility Data Analytics systems (Clockworks, Analytika, etc)
Experience with Enterprise BAS hardware/systems (Tridium Niagara based Niagara and/or Distech)
Advanced Tridium/Niagara BAS Certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project management experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Experience with statistical process control
Ability to read and understand blue prints, shop drawings, and schematics
Self-motivated
Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control, and facility access control
