Meet the team:

The Sr. Facilities Engineer position will join a talented team of maintenance professionals in our manufacturing environment.

This role will perform duties in the operation and maintenance of utility and building systems, associated controls, sub-systems, auxiliaries, and accessories, while also helping to initiate repairs, tests, and calibrates systems and equipment, and diagnoses equipment problems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding team in a fast growing company as we continue to drive being a leader in the CGM industry.

What you come in:

  • You will perform a variety of test procedures standard to the trade such as, but not limited to take readings on boilers, tests medium temperature of water, steamed condensate, water hardness, etc. to maintain and extend the life of equipment.

  • You will test and calibrate systems and equipment, diagnoses equipment problems and initiates/completes repairs through the various equipment and service management systems.

  • You will communicate and document corrective action necessary to avoid malfunctions, energy excess, shutdown, or damage of any system.

  • You will advise Supervisors of delays, problems, and work assignment progress.

  • You will carry out duties and responsibilities with view toward Department goals, energy conservation and support of academic, research and institutional goals.

What makes you successful:

  • You have advanced operational knowledge of HVAC systems and pneumatic controls, building steam systems, domestic and industrial water systems, compressed air systems, refrigeration, air conditioning compressors and controls, water systems, electrical systems, Emergency Generator, UPS and other related controls and systems.

  • You have a unique skillset that will strengthen the team in a way to make it more rounded and proficient.

  • You have applicable knowledge of the CAPA process.

  • You are able to read, understand and discuss CAD drawings, blueprints, system and equipment diagrams and P&IDs.

  • You have substantial knowledge and understanding of engineering fundamentals with respect to Mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

  • You have knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to the job functions.

  • You have knowledge of tests performed for systems operations with ability to determine repair needs and can effectively communicate them to the Supervisors.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 - 8 years of related experience
