The Sr External Operations Planning Analyst will manage the supply planning and scheduling processes for External Manufacturers. This person will enable attainment of target service levels, while achieving target inventory objectives. The External Operations Planning Analyst prepares supply plans and production schedules for external partners. This person will efficiently convert global demand requirements into an attainable supply plan for products manufactured by external partners.


Areas of responsibility include capacity planning, supplier S&OP leadership, scenario planning, material planning scheduling, inventory management, new product launch management and external partner order fulfillment. The Sr EO Planning Analyst will collaborate with the PLAN organization to handover WW demand plans, conducts a formal process with the external partners to rationalize supply and demand, taking into account capacity and inventory. Collaboration with internal and external business partners will be a key success enabler to mitigate supply reliability risks.

The ability to complete complex excel spreadsheet analysis is required. This includes the ability to utilize the planning systems to gather the key data needed to drive business decisions.

You will be engaged in portfolio product life cycle management, agility initiatives and NPI launch readiness governance.


  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or Operations required.

  • Must possess at least 2+ years of related experience in supply chain management, production planning, and/or materials management.

  • Requires 4 years of progressive work experience.

  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing control systems (ERP) and processes is required.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the company and across a global supply chain organization.

  • Influence others in a matrix environment is required.

  • Work independently with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Experience and/or certification in Lean or Six Sigma processes are preferred. APICS certification is strongly preferred. The candidate will be expected to certify once hired, if he/she does not already possess.

The position is primarily focused on operating and financial metric development and analysis, financial planning, internal and external reporting requirements, cash forecasting and working capital management, assessing opportunities for growth, investor relations, and capital markets activity. Spring's Finance group sits at the intersection of the entire organization, serving as a critical business partner and thought leader, informing key business decisions, improving existing processes and driving growth. Given the scope of work conducted within the Finance group and the role's exposure to Spring's senior management team, key success factors for the position include: superior time management, collaboration with cross-functional team members to develop positive working relationships, drive initiatives, effective and professional communication. This role reports to the Vice President of Finance and interfaces frequently with the CFO, CEO and other key business stakeholders. Although this role is remote, we ideally are looking for candidates in the New York metro area. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Recommending, standardizing, and implementing KPIs and financial metrics for Spring's various operating segments (Preschool, K-12, e-Learning) * Driving analytical assessments of potential opportunities via financial modeling, scenario and cohort analyses and recommending of possible courses of action * Partnering with business leaders to ensure that they are aware of pertinent data that will help inform critical business decisions * Increasing group/Company productivity via improving manual processes and financial systems' framework, reports and dashboards * Supporting growth initiatives: M&A (tuck-in and/or transformative), opening new schools (greenfield projects for existing brands), international expansion (licensing partnerships and/or M&A), etc. * Cash flow forecasting and cash management initiatives to drive favorable working capital dynamics * Developing and building Spring's 3- to 5-year financial projection model * Producing and improving robustness of external quarterly reporting packages (equity owner/lender presentations, financial statements, MD&A, compliance / covenant calculations, etc.) * Preparing executive team and board of directors presentations and analyses (quarterly, monthly, ad hoc) * Facilitating and executing capital markets activity: debt/equity issuances, M&A, asset sales, etc. * Invest relations (private equity owners, lenders, rating agencies) * Preparing credit agreement and covenant analyses * Real estate financing and major capital project analyses Essential Skills & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in finance, business or similar field * Minimum of 3 years financial, planning and analysis, investment banking or asset management experience; while traditional accounting experience (CPA) is not required, familiarity with GAAP financial statements is necessary for success * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required (Excel and Powerpoint in particular) * Proficiency in financial modeling * Ability to embrace challenges, work independently, drive initiatives and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment * Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills * Analytical and execution/outcome oriented * Ability to synthesize large data sets and translate them into concise presentations Stratford Schools West Chester PA
