Reporting to the Sr. Director, Executive Compensation, the Senior Executive Compensation Consultant leads or contributes to a variety of complex, high-profile executive compensation projects and manages ongoing executive compensation support for the business. This individual contributor operates on a team of executive compensation experts who support the Compensation Committee of the Board of McKesson, our annual proxy statement, enterprise incentive plans, and compensation support for our executive level population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compensation and Talent Committee Support

  • Contribute to the preparation of Compensation and Talent Committee materials for their meeting cycle.

  • Conduct competitive market benchmarking analysis on executive compensation topics.

  • Assist with program design by conducting market research and peer group analysis.

  • Partner with legal counsel and independent compensation consultants to monitor changes in proxy advisor policies, legislation, and SEC rules.

  • Executive Level Compensation Support

  • Develop compensation recommendations for executive-level moves such as external hires, promotions, and retention.

  • Collaborate with HR business partners, talent acquisition, and business leaders to develop market-based and equitable compensation recommendations.

  • Review and enhance competitive market benchmarking for executive jobs.

  • Lead projects and requests related to the executive population, including the annual compensation review.

  • Coordinate with the Mergers & Acquisitions HR group on executive compensation for acquisition and divestiture activity.

  • Annual Proxy Statement

  • Collaborate with team members and Legal to prepare executive compensation sections of the annual proxy statement.

  • Co-lead the production of executive compensation tables and footnotes.

  • Incentive Plans

  • Provide oversight on the design and administration of McKesson's enterprise short-term incentive plan (STI) and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program.

  • Support program design changes through market research and internal analysis.

  • Lead STI and LTI analysis for senior management and the Compensation and Talent Committee.

  • Enhance participant understanding of the STI and LTI programs through communication materials.

  • Coordinate with the Mergers & Acquisitions HR group on incentive compensation and design for acquisition and divestiture activity.

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience with 5+ years in Executive Compensation.

  • Proven experience quickly building collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.

  • Ability to creatively frame and collaboratively solve complex problems through rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis with minimal supervision and guidance.

  • Exceptional data research skills, strong business acumen and ability to quickly draw and communicate data-driven insights and trends.

  • Resourceful with strong project management and teamwork skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Highly detail and results-oriented with strong work ethic, sense of urgency and passion for delivering flawless work.

  • Persuasive and self-confident with excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly adapt to change in time-sensitive situations.

  • Ambitious, achievement oriented, with drive for excellence

  • Expert user of MS Office suite required.

Education

  • 4-year degree

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Certifications/Licensure

  • CCP or CECP preferred

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$129,200 - $215,300
