MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
At least 4 years of working experience in programming and functional requirements.
Strong knowledge of XML technologies (XML, XSL, XSD)
Ability to write complex ETL procedures using SQL / T-SQL. Experience working with complex SQL and its variations (such as PL/SQL) is an asset.
Hands on knowledge of SQA, PKI, web services, Enterprise Service Bus technologies.
Expertise with integration technologies and processes, enterprise data warehouse implementations and reporting tools, integrating multiple legacy and strategic systems.
Solid understand of enterprise service bus concepts.
Knowledge of testing tools and techniques and executing test scripts to test performance of ETLprocedures.
Significant experience in development, maintenance, and enhancements of informatica Mappings, Work-flows, and processes.
Knowledgeable in several multi-dimensional and data mining techniques such as EDW, ODS, DM, ROLAP and MOLAP.
Experience with Informatica and TM1 Turbointegrator.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Proficient with Cognos, including Facts, Dimensions & Various Schemas supporting them.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills..
Excellent analytical, organization, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of database administration, repository management, and data warehousing practices.
Familiarity with New York Citys data share platforms, including Open Data (DoITTs DataShare) (FMS, PIP, VENDEX, APT HHS Accelerator).
Working knowledge of database front-end systems, including MS Access.
Working knowledge of database back-end systems, including SQL Server 2008 R2 / 2012. Experience in object-oriented languages (i.e. Java, C#, etc.)
Experience in scripting languages (i.e. VBA, PowerShell, etc.)
Past utilization of code repositories including, GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
Use of software development collaboration tools, including Jira, Slack, Team Foundation, and Base Camp.

You are a contemporary Data Engineer with data integration expertise and a passion for changing the data landscape. The Data Engineer will make data useful by moving it, transforming it, distilling it, combining it with other data, addressing data quality issues and delivering it to a repository or consuming system in a performant manner. You will work with various forms of data (xml, json, text, csv) and data sources (APIs, server logs, external data, no-sql, etc.). Ultimately, it will be you that manages Girl Scouts complex data landscape in today's world. Here are a few exciting projects you will work on: * Snowflake integration * AWS cloud migration * Centralized ETL * MDM strategy and execution * Building new data domain You Will * Design, develop, automate, monitor and maintain Extract Transform Load (ETL) data movement applications using our preferred ETL tools and techniques. * Performance tune ETL applications to manage high volume batch data transfer to and from internal and external system locations * Troubleshoot data issues, recommend, test and implement solutions * Develop and document technical requirements and solutions * Participate in design and code reviews * Troubleshoot issues, making recommendations and delivering on those recommendations * Engage in project planning and delivering to commitments * Interact with Project Manager Lead and agile team to estimate development efforts and ensure accurate requirements fulfillment * Participate in daily stand-up meetings, planning meetings and review sessions (using Scrum / Agile methodology) * Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure complete delivery of solutions * Assist with configuration of applications software Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. You Need * Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Database Management or equivalent relevant work experience * 5+ years of experience in an analytically driven role * Extensive experience with delivery using ETL tools and techniques (i.e., Informatica, SSIS, Alooma) * SQL or PL/SQL Programming skills * Understanding of data warehouse and master data management approaches, ETL industry standards and best practices * Experience with Cloud migration and cloud-hosted ETL environments * Expert SQL and database tuning skills for relational platforms * Familiarity with Revision Control - Git * Demonstrated experience with Kimball ETL architecture techniques * Demonstrated working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and related data integration tools such as Secure FTP servers * Experience with AWS technologies and/or Snowflake integrations a plus * Experience with Apache a plus * Working knowledge of an Operating System scripting language, ex. bash (using awk and sed), Python, and/or Perl * Excellent communication, analytical, and development skills. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
