ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

Sponsored Research (SR) is a component of USF Research and Innovation, a vice presidential area with a direct report to the University President. The mission of the unit is the efficient and effective administration of USF contracts and grants, including proposal services, information services, funding opportunities, specific post award functions, and a variety of compliance matters.

The USF research enterprise is a more than $400 million per year operation. SR has an annual operating budget of $2.6 million and more than 20 specialized administrative and staff employees. Clients of SR include, but are not limited to, the following: faculty researchers, unit research administrators, agency/sponsor personnel, industry representatives and research administrators at other universities. SR also works closely with other units in USF Research & Innovation and with other divisions outside of the VP area, such as General Counsel, Academic Affairs, USF Health, Purchasing, Travel, Accounts Payable and other central academic and administrative units.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr.

ERP Analyst is responsible for managing the post production functions of the new Huron Grants Management System "Bulls iResearch" that will be utilized by the entire Research Enterprise.

The Sr.

ERP Analyst will have dedicated responsibilities for USF Post Production Support. The Sr.

ERP Analyst will also be responsible for collaborating closely with various stakeholders internal and external to USF to ensure the integration and utilization of the system is kept up to date and continues to meet the needs of the USF Research Enterprise.

The Sr.

ERP Analyst will hold the Contact and Content Manager role for the HURON system responsible for system analysis, configuration of updates, advising on functional support and profile management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and user requirements related to grant management within the University of South Florida. Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging the functionality of the Huron Grants Management System, "Bulls iResearch" to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Configure modules, workflows, and interfaces to align with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and regulatory standards.

Oversee the management and maintenance of grant-related content within the Huron Grants Management System, including funding opportunities, proposal documents, award information, and compliance requirements. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of grant-related data and documents in the system. Develop and implement strategies for organizing and categorizing grant-related information to facilitate efficient retrieval and analysis.

Collaborate with USF IT professionals and system administrators to identify opportunities for enhancing the functionality and usability of the Huron Grants Management System. Participate in system testing, evaluation, and implementation of updates and enhancements. Provide recommendations for system optimizations based on user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering issues with the system. Serve as a subject matter expert on HGMS, responding to user inquiries and resolving system-related issues in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and regulatory standards governing grant management. Generate reports and metrics from the Huron Grants Management System to support decision-making, monitoring, and reporting activities. Assist with the preparation of grant-related reports, proposals, and other documents as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information technology, operations analysis, or a field related to the specific functional area, with six years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in those fields with four years of experience.

PREFERRED:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field. Previous experience working as an ERP analyst or system administrator, with expertise in the Huron Grants Management System or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of research grant processes, funding mechanisms, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in system analysis, configuration, and optimization. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in providing functional support to users is desirable. Familiarity with database management principles and practices is a plus.
