Job Title: Sr. Enterprise Architect

Location: Santa Clara, CA

This is an individual contributor role who can drive execution organization through leadership and influence of virtual teams, with an opportunity to identify and recruit a team over a period time.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Define, drive and oversee the IT Enterprise Architecture that includes use of company's own products.

  • Develop an Architecture Center of Excellence by providing and iterate best practice processes and tools (selection/creation, best practices, education, upgrades) to enable work.

  • Lead the Architecture Review Board with participation of architects from other disciplines

  • Drive and ensure that new business applications and changes fit in the application landscape and comply with enterprise architecture requirements.

  • Guide decision making process for build versus buy solutions.

  • Establish relationships with IT and business stakeholders to ensure strategy and roadmaps are included in IT planning and aligned to goals.

  • Review the architecture of projects and larger changes to ensure proposed architecture and solution are sound, comply with enterprise architecture requirements and fit into the overall application landscape.

  • Review projects with business systems analysts and solutions architects while functional and technical architecture are determined.

  • Be proactive. Keep identifying areas of improvement and work with BSAs and solutions architects getting improvements adopted and implemented.

  • Provide leadership and establish a culture that continuously strives towards best practice and solutions excellence.

  • Partner with functional teams to review, advise, innovate, and mentor

  • Be a thought-leader and influencer, able to influence and coach tech leads, solutions architects and the business.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.

  • Should have a good understanding of Enterprise Applications, Enterprise Architecture, the role of an Enterprise Applications Architect, and a vision of how to run Enterprise Architecture.

  • Expertise envisioning and deploying solutions for core functionality and custom applications, with a history of successful implementations/projects.

  • Combined 10+ years of experience in several of the following areas: software design and development; architecting of modern heavily utilized, highly available Web applications; enterprise architecture experience that covers business, data and applications and technology architecture.

  • Combines solid technical skills with business solution pragmatism. Is pragmatic, practical and solution-oriented.

  • Has a Cloud architecture mindset and genuinely believes in Cloud.

  • Define standards and understands and applies metrics to measure current state and ongoing improvements.

  • Has experience delivering critical products or mission-critical services in a leadership role in either IT or development. Has a proven record of having overcome crises and difficult situations.

  • Understands team-based software development. Knows what's relevant in delivering custom enterprise applications.

  • Hands-on driven execution across organization, through leadership and influence of virtual teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an engaging personality. A proven ability to effectively interface with developments leads, BSAs, management and customers.

  • Experience with Machine Learning, RPA, and other leading technologies and capability is highly desired

  • Experience with ServiceNow products and platform will be an advantage

An area of focus at this time is API project related work, but the candidate should be confident of engaging on and managing different types of data management, data science and artificial intelligence projects also.
