Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineers, System Reliability is located in Atlanta, GA will research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.

  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

  • Utilize emerging DevOps-centric automation tools and technologies for CI/CD, configuration management etc. for both Prod and Non-Prod environments.

  • Perform environment management and automated server provisioning (VMs) for Application Continuation Integration based on high-density telecommunication industry.

  • Create and use dashboard for continuous monitoring and health check of applications, and the underlying infrastructure; and improve the quality of services using monitoring feedback for both production and non-production environment.

  • Contribute to future improvement of software delivery processes and operations (e.g., cloud enablement and use of microservices with containerization).

  • Coordinate with Infrastructure teams to assess and plan for future application stability and performance due to continuous growth based on analysis of business initiatives.

  • Provide intake solutions to align with enterprise standards and solution guidelines for digital and security compliance in a financial platform.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

  • Automating build and deployment of application builds utilizing CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins/Gitlab templates into PCF and Kubernetes.

  • Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the applications and ensure a level of quality in line with the guidelines using SonarQube and LoadRunner.

  • Design and develop REST based microservices using the Spring Boot and Spring Data with JPA.

  • Develop Java modules implementing business rules and workflows using Spring Boot.

  • Experience in setting up Kubernetes cluster for different environments, and building, deploy and running applications on PCF and Kubernetes Clusters.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science, or related, and 5 years of relevant progressive, post-Bachelor's work experience.
