Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineers, Software is located in Frisco, TX will research, design, and develop computer and network software.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design computer and network software programs and analyze user needs to develop software solutions.

• Improve existing and new software systems, processes, and services using new industry standards to enhance underlying software models.

• Lead end-to-end solution process including unit tests, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and security.

• Deploy best practices including test-driven development, trunk based development, pair programming, and automation.

• Build reliable n-tier architectures.

• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions as needed. Train and mentor team members on new technologies and systems and lead workshops as well as review sessions.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

• Implementing CICD Pipelines in Jenkins and GITLAB for automated code testing, generation building, and continuous deployment.

• Installing AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana to monitor and dashboard application performance and health. Troubleshooting and analyzing error logs in Splunk.

• Performing migration and application upgrades for cloud providers including AWS and Container-based systems (Docker, Kubernates, ECS, and EKS).

• Creating scripts using Fastlane, Ruby, and Bash to generate .ipa file for native mobile applications and managing libraries using CocoaPods and SPM (Swift Package Manager).

• Utilizing APIGEE gateways to access REST APIs to manage authentication, tokenization, authorization, and session management.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology, Computer Science or related, and 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's work experience.
