Position summary

• T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Engineer, Software Full Stack located in Bethesda, MD will collaborate with a team of other software developers, designers, and business units to architect, develop and maintain a variety of applications to support our growing platform.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create full-stack software solutions that typically include front-end web frameworks, back-end services, databases, and all associated cloud infrastructure required to deploy and maintain the solution following established patterns.

• Responsible for maintaining, enhancing, deploying, and supporting the full software solution.

• Build scheduled jobs and automated ETL processes.

• Build internal applications that optimize internal processes and efficiencies.

• Collaborate with the team to break down features into user stories and estimate them.

• Learn technologies being used and create awareness on the technology roadmap.

• Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Skill requirements:

• Working with Server-side stacks including Python (Django/Flask) and Node.js to build the backend and APIs for the internal and external dashboards and other web applications and integrate third party APIs.

• Using front-end web technologies, including: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, React, TypeScript to build the frontend for the internal and external dashboards and other web applications.

• Working with large codebases of production applications, starting projects from scratch and contributing to a project's full life cycle.

• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases to create APIs, build ETL scripts and improved the API performances.

• Maintaining and enhancing full-stack web solutions including both the back end and front end using server side stacks including Python (Django/Flask) and Node.js and front end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, React, and TypeScript.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Systems Engineering, or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
