Pay: $107000 - $125000 / year + 20% target bonus

Location: Research Triangle Park | Raleigh, NC

What this job involves -

The position is responsible for leading a large, disbursed, site-based team providing on-site engineering services for a significant building portfolio. The role is responsible to develop and implement strategic operations programs, providing ongoing field technical support, and administering centralized operations activities.

Areas of Responsibility

Management:

  • Lead and support the engineering team to develop a high performing team.

  • Support building operations by integrating engineering with the facilities management organization to assure high infrastructure availability and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the engineering team in support of client objectives with a focus on innovation and best practices and create standard work for all engineering activities.

  • Ensure consistent maintenance management practices across the account's portfolio and ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements

  • Leverage available data to ensure all sites are compliant with performance metrics and other measurables.

  • Ensure compliance with all government agency requirements relating to engineering service delivery.

  • Actively manage direct team to ensure the account meets or exceeds all contractual SLA's/KPI's and the firm earns all incentive fees with those services.

  • Develop and implement professional development training for chief engineers and other engineering management staff.

  • Ensure administrative duties are completed timely and accurately and meet deadlines.

  • Management of the computerized maintenance management system to ensure compliance with client requirements.

Safety:

  • Identify risks to client facilities and eliminate downtime.

  • Ensure a culture of safety is pervasive on team.

  • Administer compliance with and reporting of applicable environmental health and safety programs with support from the on-account safety team.

Training:

  • Develop training programs based on needs gathered through skills assessments and safety requirements.

  • Administer technical skills assessments and technical training program of facility engineering personnel.

  • Ensure all required training is administered and completed on time.

Other Areas:

  • Work with client's BAS and Energy and Sustainability teams to develops and implement energy management program.

  • Assist team to identify and contract with vendors for technical products or services to enhance service delivery.

  • Lead efforts to bring innovative ideas and products to client.

  • 10+ years facilities management of multi-building operations

  • Extensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression systems, and knowledge of commercial/critical facilities required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports

  • Strong organization skills and collaborative management style

  • Robust verbal and written communications skills
