The Senior Engineer works with a team to develop, integrate, validate and transfer new and enhanced measurement, inspection and automated equipment in support of Intraocular Lens (IOL) & delivery systems manufacturing transfer.
Using system engineering best practices, develop, test and transfer new and improved optical measurement equipment used to measure and inspect IOL optical parameters, as well as dimensional, surface form, cosmetics and more.
Validate inspection equipment and processes to support new delivery system products.
Develop automated equipment for manufacturing processes of new IOL and delivery system products.
Support development and introduction of systems engineering technologies and process improvement to accelerate New Product Introduction.
Develop & integrate processes & tools to enhance transfer process efficiency and quality, accelerate quality control inspections and provide process monitoring feedback capabilities.
Work with R&D product development teams and production to ensure measurement, inspection and automated equipment meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Initiate improvement in current manufacturing methods and processes to improve part quality, increase performance, and reduce manufacturing costs.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 years; Associate +6 years; Masters' + 0 years).
Two (2) years of relevant experience.
Effective communicator with focus on working within a team based environment.
Demonstrable success providing solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Ability to accomplish moderate projects with general guidance.
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
