We are seeking software engineer Intern who can be part of our growing Private cloud team. We are looking engineers who are passionate with software programming languages and leverages automation skills to scale and manage. Over the next several years we are migrating large portions of our workloads from our private datacenters to Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, etc) and any experience with public cloud tools and services is a plus.
Summary of Responsibilites
Developer skill, .net, c#, Java, Python, Power shell, etc.
Experience with frontend web portal programming and design
Experience with any infrastructure automation tools, such as puppet, chef, ansible,
Experience with DevOps tools, process and CI/CD deployment framework
Solid understanding of TCP/IP network and various fundamental network services such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NTP, telnet, SSH, etc.
AWS Cloudformation, SaltStack, experience is a plus
Preferred experience and/or a strong interest in the following areas:
Object oriented programming/design
C# .NET, WPF, MVC, WebApi
SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access
Basic Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., algorithms, data structures); basic proficiency in a programming language(s) (e.g., Java, Python, C, C++, C#)
Familiarity with public clouds such as Azure, AWS
Understanding of basic software lifecycle process
Demonstrated capability for solving problems across multiple subdisciplines of software engineering; proven capability for finding solutions to algorithm and programming problems, developing solutions, and finding defects in software
Excellent written and communication skills
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
You are a generalist familiar with at least one SDLC process, language, framework, platform and environment and are capable to diving into the deepest parts of technologies when called for
You have an ability to rapidly absorb and comprehend software and systems
