We are seeking software engineer Intern who can be part of our growing Private cloud team. We are looking engineers who are passionate with software programming languages and leverages automation skills to scale and manage. Over the next several years we are migrating large portions of our workloads from our private datacenters to Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google, etc) and any experience with public cloud tools and services is a plus.

Summary of Responsibilites

  • Developer skill, .net, c#, Java, Python, Power shell, etc.

  • Experience with frontend web portal programming and design

  • Experience with any infrastructure automation tools, such as puppet, chef, ansible,

  • Experience with DevOps tools, process and CI/CD deployment framework

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP network and various fundamental network services such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NTP, telnet, SSH, etc.

  • AWS Cloudformation, SaltStack, experience is a plus

  • Preferred experience and/or a strong interest in the following areas:

  • Object oriented programming/design

  • C# .NET, WPF, MVC, WebApi

  • Html, CSS/Sass

  • JavaScript (Node, jQuery, Angular)

  • SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access

Basic Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., algorithms, data structures); basic proficiency in a programming language(s) (e.g., Java, Python, C, C++, C#)

  • Familiarity with public clouds such as Azure, AWS

  • Understanding of basic software lifecycle process

  • Demonstrated capability for solving problems across multiple subdisciplines of software engineering; proven capability for finding solutions to algorithm and programming problems, developing solutions, and finding defects in software

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • You are a generalist familiar with at least one SDLC process, language, framework, platform and environment and are capable to diving into the deepest parts of technologies when called for

  • You have an ability to rapidly absorb and comprehend software and systems

AEye is looking for a highly motivated Sr Control Systems FPGA Engineer. The individual will be expected to work with a dynamic, talented team of hardware and software engineers developing state-of-the art Lidar technology and products. A wide breadth of previous experience and technical acumen will allow the candidate to participate collaboratively in all levels of the design process, from concept and architectural definition through detailed fpga algorithm implementation, primarily targeting (but not necessarily limited to) MEMS mirror platform drive & control. Essential Skills & Experience Requirements (required): * BS or Masters in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering. * Minimum of 5 years industry experience. * Knowledge or experience with FPGA for physical system control - closed loop feedback control implementations in FPGAs. * Hands on FPGA Design Experience using Verilog/SystemVerilog for Xilinx or Altera devices. * Knowledge or experience with Digital Signal Processing technology. * Experience designing DSP blocks in Matlab and implementing them in FPGAs. * Design with DSP & Math IP Core resources. * Proficient with Matlab (Simulink) or similar/equivalent analytical tools. * Track record of completed, successful design implementations * Good communication & collaboration skills; able to produce quality documentation for both internal & external target audiences. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding start-up atmosphere. Preferred Skills & Experience (useful): * Experience with FPGA SOC architecture and design, AXI-Bus, Memory & Data Flow. * Experience with Xilinx Zynq Architecture and Vivado tool chains. * Experience using Modelsim and/or QuestaSim to develop self-checking testbenches. * Experience in a fast-paced and demanding start-up experience. * D3emonstrable real-world "cradle-to-grave" product development and support experience; design for manufacturability, design for test, mature product support. * Experience with writing low-level c code for test and debug purposes.
