We are seeking a strong Senior Software Engineer with a solid background in Software Engineering product development. As a member of the Engineering team, you will be working in a fast-paced development team while collaborating with other developers, QA, product, UX, management and customer support teams. You will have the opportunity to participate in designing and developing both existing products and new products. While working on these projects you will be responsible for full life-cycle management, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment to production, and post-production ownership.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable services and applications optimized for the best customer experience possible

  • Contribute to architecture, design and implementation of our next generation cloud services

  • Provide technical leadership and create technical specifications for new microservices and API's

  • Take ownership of the quality of the service from coding all the way to production

  • Maintain and extend our services, focused on delivering results

  • Maintain developer documentation for the new API's to encourage adoption and best practices

Basic Skills and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development experience using Object Oriented design for high-volume transactional and customer-facing web applications using Java, C#, .NET or similar

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, design reviews, code reviews, TDD, unit testing, integration/system testing, monitoring, alerting, agile development practices

  • Full stack experience, knowledge of platform and application layer development processes in an SOA environment

  • Deep knowledge of industry standards and industry best practices for a large, complex platforms and services

  • Experience with REST architectural patterns and experience building, exposing, consuming RESTful services

  • Extensive hands on knowledge and experience with database design and management for SQL, Oracle, NoSQL

  • Strong T-SQL design and programming skills

  • Extensive hands-on experience in .NET technologies

  • Proven success designing robust and scalable production systems

  • Experience with security protocols and security best practices

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing API's and SDKs

  • Extensive experience architecting and releasing service offerings across single or multiple cloud providers

  • Experience with Salesforce and Apex development is a plus

  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with developers, project managers, UX, QA and the leadership teams

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of scrum/agile development methodologies

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field

AEye is looking for a highly motivated Sr Control Systems FPGA Engineer. The individual will be expected to work with a dynamic, talented team of hardware and software engineers developing state-of-the art Lidar technology and products. A wide breadth of previous experience and technical acumen will allow the candidate to participate collaboratively in all levels of the design process, from concept and architectural definition through detailed fpga algorithm implementation, primarily targeting (but not necessarily limited to) MEMS mirror platform drive & control. Essential Skills & Experience Requirements (required): * BS or Masters in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering. * Minimum of 5 years industry experience. * Knowledge or experience with FPGA for physical system control - closed loop feedback control implementations in FPGAs. * Hands on FPGA Design Experience using Verilog/SystemVerilog for Xilinx or Altera devices. * Knowledge or experience with Digital Signal Processing technology. * Experience designing DSP blocks in Matlab and implementing them in FPGAs. * Design with DSP & Math IP Core resources. * Proficient with Matlab (Simulink) or similar/equivalent analytical tools. * Track record of completed, successful design implementations * Good communication & collaboration skills; able to produce quality documentation for both internal & external target audiences. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding start-up atmosphere. Preferred Skills & Experience (useful): * Experience with FPGA SOC architecture and design, AXI-Bus, Memory & Data Flow. * Experience with Xilinx Zynq Architecture and Vivado tool chains. * Experience using Modelsim and/or QuestaSim to develop self-checking testbenches. * Experience in a fast-paced and demanding start-up experience. * D3emonstrable real-world "cradle-to-grave" product development and support experience; design for manufacturability, design for test, mature product support. * Experience with writing low-level c code for test and debug purposes.
