Position Purpose:

Seeking world-class talent to join the world's leading distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services operating 5,500+ locations and servicing more than 20,000 locations in the U.S and Canada. Working with a highly talented team, you'll play a key role to build and run one of the world's largest automotive and industrial replacement parts operations.

This is an engineering role with responsibility for enabling modernization in the Order Management domain and execution for GPC's vision of a unified order management platform.

The Senior Software Engineer, Supply Chain OMS will be part of the team that supports NAPA Order Management applications across the United States. The individual will take direction from the Manager, works with other Engineers, Senior Engineers, Product Managers to Develop, Configure, Test and Support the Systems as well as mentor other Engineers.

• Helps grow junior developers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks, and leading technical discussions.

Location:

• GPC has two work locations to choose from, Duluth or Atlanta office.

Desired Qualifications & Experiences:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience

• 2 years (3+ preferred) years of software development experience, preferably with high volume Order Management domain

• Experience working with Packaged Order Management solutions with development and configuration experience (preferably IBM Sterling OMS or similar, deployed as SAAS or an on-prem Cloud solution)

• 2 years (3+ preferred) experience developing extensions of DOM and OMS systems, preferable Sterling OMS. Expertise in Java/J2EE, XML, XSLT, Oracle and Middleware technologies.

• Experience in building cloud native microservices using Spring Boot or equivalent.

• Experience in designing event driven mechanisms, publish/subscribe models.

• 2+ Experience with cloud computing on at-least one of major providers (Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure) STRONGLY Preferred.

• Experience in destructive testing methodologies and tools.

• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies

• This is an engineering position, and in our team, we believe in "always production-ready" code.

• This job requires 70% coding and configuration tasks every day
