Job Purpose (Job Summary):

Our Multimedia Engineers provide project assistance, involving the planning, implementation, documentation and delivery or new technologies and refreshing existing.

Their role is not operational but assistance will be expected during major production issues and problem management.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Ensure the Infrastructure Programs, Activities, Task and Resource Planning standards and processes are adhered to

  • Take on the role of a Technical Project Lead

  • Follow team procedures, identify gaps and resolve effectively

  • Provide technical overview/show and tell session to the rest of the team when required

  • Keep risk register updated

  • Take on the role of Subject Matter Expert for a chosen solution

  • Ensure operational standards are adhered to

  • Provide assistance to the Operations team when needed

  • Actively look to continuously improve working practices

  • Demonstrate and deliver excellent service to all clients at all times.

  • Assist when instructed to design, implement and deliver BR obligations.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

We are looking for an experienced Engineer who has previous proven experience of deploying and supporting Multimedia solutions including but not limited to streaming services, complex presentation spaces and meeting rooms.

They must have up to date knowledge of the technologies, equipment and software appropriate to the business, including Windows operating system platforms, Microsoft Applications and Network Fundamentals. Advanced Audio Visual knowledge with specific experience of Polycom, Crestron, and Skype Room Systems.

Experience in project delivery (physical installation and management) is desired.

  • Be able to work adhere to Invesco technical and operational procedures and policies.

  • The necessary interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate throughout the IT organisation with individuals of varying technical abilities.

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, approachable and people oriented

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

Bachelor's degree preferred - in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, or related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and erratic temperatures

  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 30 pounds is also necessary

  • Normally works a varied shift, comprising a schedule of hours somewhere in between the start and end of business hours. The number of hours may vary depending upon the situation, project or assignment.

  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on-call support by cell phone
