Sr Engineer II, Android Software

Job Summary:

As a Sr. Android Developer for our Mobile and Web team, you will design, develop, and implement applications for our state-of-the-art technologies and medical devices. As a senior developer you are ready and willing to mentor anyone and everyone and are dedicated to helping everyone on the team reach their highest potential. Responsibilities:

• Lead new projects, R&D endeavors, and Proofs of Concept.

• Design & develop advanced stand-alone applications and libraries as well as apps that connect to/use existing products.

• Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies.

• Create, evaluate, maintain, and optimize internal coding standards & best practices.

• Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes.

• Mentor new team members, co-op students, interns, and peers alike.

Requirements:

• 8+ yrs. experience developing mobile applications for Android platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and the Android platform.

• Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong architecture and design modeling.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts.

• Expertise in mobile application development tools and techniques.

• Ability to work in a very talented team locally and across the border as well as individually where needed.

• Strong sense of craftsman pride to get things done & done right.

• Experience with Socket and/or Bluetooth programming is a plus.

• Experience with OpenGL is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

The anticipated range for this position is $140,000 - $194,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
