Engineer 1 to join our team in our Picatinny Arsenal, NJ division. The primary responsibility will be to become the engineering interface with the US Army customer on indirect fire ammunition programs and proposals. Essential duties and responsibilities include designing ammunition products, troubleshooting design problems, developing risk analyses and conducting engineering experiments and test.

The selected for this position will be responsible for the following:Primary

Responsibilities:
Project lead for ammunition development programs for the U.S. Government and other commercial entities.Using a Systems Engineering approach, identifies, recommends and incorporates a variety of complex, new product development and product improvements.Researches and prepares failure analysis including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Develops and implements risk analysis processes to identify potential errors and develops solutions to eliminate the occurrence of problems.Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
BS/MS in engineering or Physics. 10 years of relevant engineering experience.Ammunition design and development; manufacturing processes; machining, welding, forging, assembly and molding.Design of experiments (DOE) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Classical structural analysis and Finite Element Analysis.Technical writing skills and effective communication skills. A bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED 2.Field Artillery knowledge with experience in a Fire Direction Center controlling Paladins, M777A2s, or Digitized M119s or as a cannon crew member on the same systems. Strong working knowledge of AFATDS. 3. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance (Post Start Of Work) Preferred Qualifications: 1. Ability to proofread and compile comments for Test, Software, and System Engineering documents in the form of Requirements, Specifications, Detailed Design, and related Test Planning, Description, and Test Results documentation. 2. Ability to generate behavior change requests for test anomalies discovered during test activities. Draft Test Cases, Test Procedures, Daily Run Log Activity Reports, and execute both software and system test activities. 3. Have a basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycle in order to participate in Peer reviews, Meetings, and support the test effort in all associated phases. 4. Development of test procedures and cases based upon requirements. 5. Good understanding of software design. 6. Proficient in designing test procedures. 7.
