Sr Employee Communications Specialist

About the role:

The Sr Employee Comm Specialist is a strategist for Boston Scientific Spencer Plant Communications responsible for the planning, development and execution of all aspects of site communications, including internal employee communications, senior management communications support, public relations, media relations, special events and community relations activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and plan creative strategies for engaging employees, the media, and the community by understanding the primary needs of each audience.

  • Plan overall site communication strategy by consulting with management to ensure that all communication executed by the company is aligned with the company's vision, mission and corporate strategy.

  • Plan the direction of internal publications and other media platforms by setting overall goals, philosophies and editorial guidelines to ensure excellence in employee communication.

  • Work closely with management to support senior staff by developing content, offering guidance and planning strategies to implement responses to issues that affect the company, its employees and its standing in the community and industry.

  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategy and activities to ensure communications approach continues to be effectively planned and delivered.

  • Act as communications liaison by serving on multiple teams throughout organization to support the activities of the team and ensure the consistency and effectiveness of communication from the team to their intended audiences.

What we're looking for in you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with Senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing communications budget

  • Experience with external advertising (newspaper, radio, social media)

  • Experience working in complex, fast paced, multifaceted work settings setting

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing a communications strategy

Employee Communications Specialist (Defined Term) About the role: The Employee Communications Speciaist is responsible for site internal communications and coordinating medical professional visits. This role is pivotal to our local business strategies to provide effective internal written communication across the site and to facilitate the site's ability to manage physician's visits on a regular cadence. This is a defined term role for 12 months Your responsibilities will include: * Develop and plan creative strategies for all internal communications by understanding the primary needs of employees, the media, and the community. * Plan overall corporate communication strategy by consulting with management to ensure that all communication executed by the company is aligned with the company's vision, mission and corporate strategy. * Plan the direction of internal publications and videos by setting overall goals, philosophies and editorial guidelines to ensure excellence in employee communication. * Work closely with management to support senior staff by writing speeches, offering guidance and planning strategies to implement responses to issues that affect the company, its employees and its standing in the community and industry. * Act as corporate communications liaison by serving on multiple teams throughout organization to support the activities of the team and ensure the consistency and effectiveness of communication from the team to their intended audiences. * Responsible for site customer visits and relationship development (doctors, internal sales & marketing teams and local leadership team) * Benchmark best practices for communications and visit management. * Build and nurture relationships with sales and marketing teams to understand VOC and leverage to grow the visit experience.
