Sr. Embedded Systems Software Engineer

As a Sr. Embedded Systems Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced software solutions for our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) business within the Aerospace (AERO) Strategic Business Group (SBG). You will play a critical role in designing and developing software applications that enable the safe and efficient operation of unmanned aircraft systems. Your expertise in software engineering and your passion for innovation will contribute to the success of our UAS business and help shape the future of the aerospace industry.

You will report directly to our Director of Engineering and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by developing cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the performance, reliability, and safety of unmanned aircraft systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, design software architectures, and implement robust and scalable solutions. Your work will contribute to the growth and success of our UAS business and help us maintain our position as a leader in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop A661 customer specific applications.

• Integrate software components within the Anthem Avionics platform.

• Trouble shoot software and integration issues on customer specific platforms.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering

• Experience in integration of software components into the embedded systems.

• Knowledge of Configuration Management tools (clear case etc.)

• Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.

• Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities.

• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with several functions and teams, both internal and external.

• Self-starter who gets results and can work with limited supervision in a matrix structure.
