Lucid is looking for a senior electronics design engineer to work on design of electronics for power converters. The candidate should be familiar with Ethernet and CAN communication, signal integrity, microcontrollers, analog and digital electronics circuits.

The Role:

  • Analysis and design trade-off studies of electrical architecture

  • Drive discussions with cross-functional teams to understand design requirements

  • Design and enhance low voltage electronics circuits for power electronics application

  • Start to finish ownership of hardware - from specification to design, component selection, prototype, testing, validation, and high-volume manufacturing

  • Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, firmware engineers to design and validate power converters

  • Performing electrical system analysis and simulations to assess performance, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Work with manufacturing team to ensure efficient and high-yield production of the power converter.

  • Work on troubleshooting field issues and production issues.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 3+ years of experience electrical/embedded design and testing

  • Experienced in automotive design standards

  • Knowledge of Microcontroller operation

  • Familiar with Ethernet and CAN communications

  • Familiar with signal integrity concepts

  • Hands-on hardware experience in electronics design for high-voltage and high-power applications

  • Good experience with design of analog/digital circuits

  • Familiar with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools

  • Experience in PCB layout.

  • Proficiency with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Network analyzers, Signal Generators etc.)

  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing and DFMEA

  • Familiar with electromagnetic compatibility

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$123,200-$169,400 USD
