General Summary

We're looking for a high achieving Sr. Electronics Test Technician who demonstrates an ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and thrives in a fast, rapidly changing, high-pressure environment to join our Astronics team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Electronic Technician degree or equivalent with a good understanding of RF communications

  • Experience in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) industry preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.

  • Proficiency in measuring devices and instruments

  • Demonstrated ability to read prints and specifications

  • Average competence in use of available software for report preparation

  • Excellent organizational skill, including the ability to maintain our service database

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset. Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to work in teams and to think/act quick on their feet

  • Solving customer queries, recommend solutions, and guide product or platform users through features and functionalities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must understand basic principles of Lean Manufacturing

  • Excellent RF, electronic troubleshooting skills, and component level troubleshooting

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.

  • Strong attention to detail, good communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to customers, channel partners and company management.

  • Proficiency with standard business software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word.

  • Ability to learn our management system and web-based applications.

  • Work with test equipment, spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscope, Measuring receiver, and signal generator.

  • Ability to clearly recognize and report relevant information.

  • Must be a US person.
