ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position will support our Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) and B-1 customers, by solving electrical sustainment issues. The sustainment projects address obsolete components in multiple instrumentation, control, power, electronic, electro-mechanical interface systems. The engineer will:

  • Provide technical solutions

  • Lead the design, integration, and installation of sustainment projects

  • Diagnose malfunctions in existing components and make improvements or modification to produce the desired results

  • Develop technical documentation and publications relating to users, systems, processes, work flows, operations, products, and services.

  • Create new electrical schematics

  • Ensure proper system artwork generation

  • Implement design changes of existing components

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of four (4) years of general electrical engineering or a Masters in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years electrical engineering experience

Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.

The candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Aerospace or ATCALS experience are definite pluses.

The ideal candidate will have experience with circuit design, signal/power analysis, instrumentation, EMI/radar and programming skills.

Skills in SolidWorks Electrical and NI Circuit Design Pro are also preferred.

Initially, the Deep Look will be a continuous review of engine part data, where you enter or update the data. Eventually, this meeting will become an annual or semiannual event. These meetings involve various groups within the USAF and other participants from P&W Military Engines. Outside of these meetings you will perform data analysis and maintenance on the Deep Look database, as well as other support tasks designed to leverage a close working relationship with the USAF customer. As part of the Digital Transformation & Analytics group these miscellaneous tasks frequently involve maintaining access to CEMS, REMIS, CETADS, and other USAF data systems, maintaining contact with the USAF PAFM forecasting process, and assisting with data analysis and reporting. Analytic, project management, and interpersonal skills will be critical. You must be self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as within a cross functional group environment. The nature of the position is to provide connectivity between the customer in Oklahoma City and the parent organization in Connecticut.. Activities also include supporting members of Customer Support Engineering, Maintenance Services, and Reliability groups with ad-hoc studies and reports to understand the impact of field problems and engineering changes. Due to our government contracts, all applicants must be US Citizens. Education: Bachelor degree Basic Qualifications: * 3+ years in a mathematically focused field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, etc.), including: * Analytical skills * Experience using Excel and at least one Database Management System, such as Access or Oracle, including automating processes using application code. Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree * Experience with MCA or other Supply Chain Management / inventory optimization. * Python, [Discrete Event] Simulation, Modeling, Statistics, Queueing Theory, Optimization highly beneficial. * Ability to organize and lead extended meetings with the customer, driving those meetings to successful, on-time completion. * Knowledge of jet engines as well as their maintenance processes. * Experience using USAF data systems, such as CEMS and REMIS.
