Description
Rochester Sensors, LLC is looking for a Full Time Sr Electrical Design Engineer to join the team in Coppell, TX!
Job Purpose:
Design of electronic and electro-mechanical products for industrial market segments with focus on liquid level sensors. Design and develop products that meet our customer's requirements through customization of existing product designs, or developing new product designs. Participate in the design process as a member of a cross-functional teams to ensure time to market, product cost, total project cost, application critical to quality features, design for manufacturability and overall long-term product quality goals are met.
Requirements:
B.S. or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. M.S. preferred
Minimum of 8 years direct experience in electronics design/testing
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
Experience with very low power systems
Strong knowledge of test equipment and its operation for analog/digital circuits
Proficient in PCB development including layout skills.
Prefer experience in embedded programming using C
Good reading/writing/verbal skills.
Familiar with DMM/Oscilloscope/Signal Generators/Power Supplies, and any other equipment required to complete daily duties.
Effectively communicates/interacts w/others at all levels
Environment:
Office plus factory and lab environments for production and testing. Occasional travel required to company factories and customer locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design new products (end items and components) in accordance with project plans and schedules
Develop and maintain design requirement specifications, test plans, control plans and technical data sheets for new products
Generate PCBs as required for new applications
Compile parts lists, order components, build and test prototype PCB assemblies
Perform analysis, simulations and testing of electronic systems and prepare corrective actions as needed
Provide technical specifications and drawings for procuring PCB assemblies for new products
Interface with Customers and participate in system and field testing of electronic products
Lead cross functional teams to optimize new designs to meet quality, cost and schedule requirements driven by specific Customer requirements or market needs
Modify plans and designs as required to meet Customer requirements
Complete design verifications and validations of new designs
Write test reports as required to document verification and validation activities
