We are actively seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the production capacity and quality of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and controller systems used in metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry. If you thrive on tackling challenges across the entire spectrum, from PCBAs to controller systems, and enjoy providing effective solutions in a timely manner, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. Success in this dynamic position requires proficiency in a diverse range of electronic components, coupled with expertise in circuit PCBAs design and manufacturing processes, as well as a solid understanding of embedded systems.

Pay Range: $135,000 -175,000 Annually (DOE)

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to ramp up production capacity of PCBAs and controller systems for metrology equipment, ensuring scalability and efficiency in design and manufacturing processes.

  • Elevate the quality of PCBAs and controller systems, optimizing performance and reliability to meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations. Work closely with vendors and contract manufacturers to address design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) issues, ensuring optimal design and manufacturing outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system integration issues, achieving a high yield rate to reduce cycle time.

  • Utilize PCBAs CAD tools, preferably Altium to optimize PCBAs design and release process, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards. Lead product life cycle design activities, including formulating system and PCBAs requirements, facilitating design reviews, and managing design document release via the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Ph.D. Electrical Engineering or related fields.

  • 5+ years of industry work experience on PCBAs design and the programming of embedded systems.

  • Proficient in adeptly troubleshooting issues spanning from PCBAs to controller systems, with a knack for delivering effective solutions promptly.

  • Proficient in designing and implementing electrical design verification and characterization tests with solid understanding of hardware design and manufacturing test parameters. This includes generating test plans for functional and verification and validation testing, as well as writing and executing test scripts required for specific test phases, preferably Python.

  • Proficient in designing and implementing PCBAs board-level analog and mixed-signal circuit design, encompassing schematic capture, layout, best design practice, DFM and DFT.

  • Proficient in PCBAs CAD tools, preferably Altium.

  • Proficient in utilizing oscilloscopes, waveform generator and other lab equipment, etc.

  • Experienced in various types of circuit and PCBAs design, ex. high voltage (5KV, 20KV), flex/rigid, vacuum, low noise, etc.

  • Experienced in product life cycle design, encompassing the formulation of system and PCBAs requirements, facilitating design reviews, and releasing of design documents via the ECO process.

  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive for learning and goal achievement. Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, committed to fostering effective teamwork and achieving collective objectives.
