ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sr Electrical Engineer is responsible for the engineering support of electrical substation and transmission projects. The Sr Engineer will support project engineering activities from contract award to project closeout.

Essential Functions
Support Project Managers by providing technical leadership, administration, planning, and execution of all engineering aspects of projects
Communicate the basis of design, scope of work, and applicable technical requirements to the vendors, Engineers of Record, and other project team members
Lead change management with the stakeholders as it evolves
Define the Engineer of Record scope, schedule, and budget
Provide leadership and oversight for the duration of their work
Establish the document control plan and ensure strict adherence
Facilitate the design review process
Ensure project work is coordinated among engineers', equipment vendors, fabricators, and sub-contractors to meet project requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including NERC, permitting, and the interconnecting utility
Validate equipment specifications and major material quantities are accurate
Regular and predictable attendance
Other duties as assigned
Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in electric construction and engineering industry is required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering is required
Professional Engineering license is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience in project management including safety leadership, schedule logic, procurement, and construction means and methods
Experience in reviewing designs to assure compliance with permitting requirements, applicable codes, constructability, and industry standards
Experience in procurement of engineered material, equipment, and professional services
Solid knowledge and understanding of the design, construction, or operation of utility substations and transmission systems
Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
Team player who can successfully work with diverse internal and external partners
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera
Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time
