Sr. Electrical Engineer
We are currently in search of a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our Research and Development department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing new electronic products for production and providing technical support for products currently in production.
Responsibilities
Design and develop complex electrical schematics (digital and analog) related to development of new products and modification of existing products
Research solutions to technical problems and recommend cost effective resolution approaches
Complex electronic design and analysis including thermal losses, switching losses, antennae matching and RF circuit design (NFC, UWB, and Bluetooth)
Perform specification and design reviews, preproduction builds, and transfers to production
Serve as primary technical resource for assigned products currently in production in order to improve on future design
Participate in large engineering projects by completing multiple tasks
Develop program schedules and timelines and coordinate program implementation utilizing both internal and external resources
Develop and assist in customer presentations related to new product development and/or product modifications and enhancements
Train/Mentor other electrical engineers on the team
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. (Masters or Doctorate Preferred)
8+ years related experience
5+ years automotive development experience (Radio Frequency Technology, Electric Vehicles, LIN/CAN Applications)
Experience in one or more with NFC, UWB, and Bluetooth
Thorough understanding of electronic design and electronic circuitry technology assembly processes
Understanding of hardware and software design
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing quality tools
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Advanced computer skills, including the use of simulation software (PSpice)
Basic management skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, and project management
Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees
Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents
